Preparing for a major upgrade of existing controllers in multiple buildings, QuadReal requested (nSite BMS) to deploy a test environment with the latest devices from Distech Controls. After being involved in upgrading all device firmware, cabling and provisioning, I attempted to create a browser-based device viewer that shows all devices connected to the supervisor via the BACnet connector, providing a straightforward view of controllers and points without requiring the viewer to use Niagara or GFX and all the required expertise to navigate either platform. With the new REST api topology available in V2 Distech devices, I managed to populate repeater symbols with any adopted device within the supervisor controller.
