Colo-D (CoLogix) Datacentre | Drummondville, QC | June 2016

The year was 2016, and Adobe XD Beta was just released into the wild. I was knee deep into building Sketch libraries, and I was happy to learn my way into this brand new world where my wireframes in Illustrator weren't open to interpretation by devs, everything seemed possible.
The project brief was to provide a front end that visualized circuit layout, power delivery, battery status and space temperature into one cohesive user interface that datacenter management staff could check anytime. Unfortunately due to strict security protocols for datacenters, the only technical drawings I could get my hands on were electrical circuit layouts. I used Sketchup to build out the floor plans and rack servers and to produce 3D renderings.
The rest of the process: (1) import rasterized 3D rendered floorplans into DGLux, (2) link table data from SkySpark queries via DSA links to determine circuit layout on graphics, (3) bind live values to mouseover actions (power, room temp, etc.)
The project took about 6 months from concept to finished product. All assets and interactions created by AC.
